Ammerman Scrapbooks |
This is a
collection of 15 scrapbooks belonging to Betty
Ammerman. They were received with the collection of
research that Betty has gifted to the library. The
pages of each book have been numbered and titles of
articles are as printed. There will be some spelling
errors of names and objects. Some books contain
sources and dates, others only a scattering of such. |
|
Book One
1940-1947
This scrapbook is in very poor
condition. Almost all the pages have pulled away
from the spiral binding. Several of the pages have
had articles removed. Most of the scrapbook pertain
to Fair Play residents and contains many articles
about school events. The last several pages contain
many engagement and wedding announcements found in
the newspaper. No sources are sited on any of the
pages.

Book Five
This scrapbook is in very poor
condition. The pages are very brittle, and heavy due
to the gluing and taping of the invitations and
announcements. Several of the pages are blank,
either from not being used or because items have
been removed. This scrapbook covers events from the
40s and 50s.
